Turkish hotels this summer will operate with a number of restrictions in order to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection.

Turkish hotels can be filled no more than 60%, and tourists will have their temperature measured and given masks upon check-in. Hotels will also be obliged to create a quarantine zone for guests with suspected COVID-19, the Daily Sabah newspaper reports.

The publication clarifies that door handles and other surfaces in hotels will be regularly disinfected, and the rooms after guests have been evicted will be empty for 12 hours.

In food areas, food will be covered with a protective glass panel in case of a cough or sneeze from a guest. A distance of 1,5 meters will be maintained between the tables, and the number of people in the dining rooms will be limited. Also, coffee machines and other vending machines with drinks, which are widely used by travelers, will temporarily disappear.

On the beaches, guests will be forced to maintain a social distance, and in the pools, chlorine levels will be maintained at a significant level. Spas and fitness rooms will remain closed this season.
