International media disseminated materials about the new development of scientists from the University of Uludag (Bursa), who created a spray called Genoxyn.
According to their claims, based on numerous analyzes, Genoxyn spray is able to destroy the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus in one minute. The drug is released in two forms: nasal and oral sprays (for the nose and for the throat).
It is known that the formula of the drug was developed a couple of years ago, and after the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, scientists managed to improve it to combat the coronavirus. The spray acts not only on the specified pathogen, but also on other viruses, bacteria and fungi, scientists said.
“After the product has been improved, its performance has become more permanent thanks to the latest technology. With the use of nanotechnology, it began to exert long-term effects through specific molecules that it binds. In addition, the fact that it is biocompatible means that it acts without damaging human tissues and cells, allowing us to make it suitable for protecting human health, ”said Juneit Ozakin, Doctor of Medical Microbiology, Uludag University.
