The Turkish pharmaceutical company VisCoran Ilac Sanayii AS is ready to produce millions of doses of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine after transferring the appropriate technology.

“After the completion of the technology transfer process between the two countries, we will be able to produce millions of doses in Turkey. We have conducted research and started negotiations with Russia, believing that the vaccine could be more effective. Our negotiations continued, in July they reached a certain point, and on August 16, we signed an agreement with RDIF in our country "the chairman of the board of directors of the company Ozturk Oran told DHA agency.

“All documents and data that are necessary for the joint production of a vaccine have already been transferred to us. We handed them over to the Turkish Ministry of Health. There are also companies we talked to about production capacity. It is expected that this vaccine will be produced in our country, as well as exported to other countries, including Europe, ” - noted the head of VisCoran.

Oran added that now the situation in the Ministry of Health is at the stage of completing the processes related to production. According to him, at the first stage, domestic needs for universal vaccination of the population will be covered, and then the possibility of export will be considered.
