For the first time in the history of Turkish alpine skiing, a national biathlon championship will be organized.
The Turkish Ski Federation reported that the competition will be held from 2 to 4 February in Erzurum province at the Kandilli ski center.
The head of the Turkish Ski Federation, Ali Oto, expressed hope for the development of this winter Olympic sport in the country.
“We also plan to hold a biathlon cup in March. We are doing our best to increase interest in winter sports, ”Oto told reporters.
