The Turkish Ministry of Health continues negotiations with various manufacturers of vaccines and, apparently, intends to diversify the procurement of the required number of doses of drugs.

The head of the Turkish Ministry of Health, Fahrettin Koca, on Tuesday held meetings with the ambassadors of China and Russia, at which they discussed the mass vaccination of citizens against coronavirus that has begun in the country.

“Today we have invited the Russian ambassador to Ankara, Alexey Yerkhov, to our ministry. We appreciated our cooperation in the field of healthcare, primarily on the [Russian vaccine] Sputnik V issue. Thank you for their attentive attitude towards bilateral cooperation, ”Koca wrote on his Twitter page.

During the meeting between Erkhov and Koca, issues of building up Russian-Turkish cooperation in the health sector were discussed, including between the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) and the Turkish Healthcare Institutions Directorate (TUSEB).
