Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank commented on the main news of recent days - the creation of the Turkish Space Agency and its immediate goals.
“Personally, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan himself is in favor of a woman being the first Turkish citizen in space. We will send the most suitable resident of the country for this mission into orbit, ”the head of the Ministry of Industry said.
Varanc said that the technologies developed by Turkish engineers will contribute to the study of space. Turkey will also become an important player in the space economy, the minister is sure, noting the signing of agreements on cooperation in the space field with three countries.
“The National Space Program will make Turkey one of the leaders in the production of products with maximum added value. This program is a source of pride for the entire country, ”the minister said.
