Turkey has a bid to host the 2032 Summer Olympics. This was stated by the vice-president of the Turkish National Olympic Committee, Hasan Arat.
According to him, the decision to compete for the right to host the 2032 Olympics has already been made at the state level.
Recall that Istanbul claimed to host the Olympic Games in 2020. At the final stage of voting, the Turkish metropolis lost to Tokyo.
“Turkey has successfully fulfilled all the requirements in terms of creating the necessary infrastructure for holding the Olympics in 2020. We prepared roads, metro, airport - created completely new facilities. Istanbul is ready for the Games and can deservedly get this right, ”said Hasan Arat.
Istanbul has already applied to the Olympic Committee.
“We will not give up our ambitions. Turkey has never hosted the Olympics. This will be a matter of principle for us, and we are firmly convinced that we will hold events at the highest level! ”, The Vice President of the National Olympic Committee of Turkey assured.
