The Turkish Ministry of Internal Affairs has sent circulars to 81 provinces explaining the restrictive measures adopted by the Cabinet of Ministers on March 1, 2021.

As Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan previously announced, restaurants, cafes, pastry shops and other catering establishments will be able to operate from 07:00 to 19:00 with a 50 percent occupancy rate, except in provinces with a very high risk of infection (red level).

The Ministry of Internal Affairs, in a published circular, has clarified the following provisions and restrictions:

  • in provinces with low, medium and high infection rates, catering establishments will be able to receive visitors (50% occupancy) from 07:00 to 19:00
  • establishments will be able to work for takeaway or delivery from 19:00 to 21:00, and from 21:00 to 00:00 only delivery is possible
  • in provinces with a very high level of infection, establishments will be able to operate on take-out or delivery from 10:00 to 20:00, and from 20:00 to 00:00 only delivery is possible
  • when visiting establishments, it is mandatory to provide a HES code at the entrance
